One of our favorite things is being out in nature, especially taking float trips on local rivers with friends. Every good Midwesterner knows that the gravel bar is the oasis. That’s where all the kayaks, rafts and canoes pull over to rejoin their friends, get something out of the cooler to eat or drink, snap some photos, and take a dip to cool off. Gravel bars bring old friends, new friends and strangers together.
